CHESS COMPETITION (BOYS & GIRLS)

Objectives: 

  1. 1. To encourage healthy competition and sportsmanship among students.
  2. To promote intellectual development and strategic thinking among students.
  3. To enhance concentration, memory, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  4. To provide a platform for students to showcase their chess talents.

Event Summary

Maratha Mandal’s College of Pharmacy, Belgaum organized Chess Competition on 12th June 2026 in HAP Lab for students on the occasion of Annual Sports Meet 2026. 22 boys and 6 Girls students from D Pharm, B Pharm & M Pharm participated and showed their chess talent. The competition aimed to promote strategic thinking, mental agility & sportsmanship among participants. Players competed in multiple rounds following standard chess rules, demonstrating excellent concentration, planning, & decision-making skills. Overall, all competition was conducted smoothly and achieved its objective of encouraging intellectual growth, healthy competition, and a passion for chess among participants.
